I am not a pastor, nor am I a card-carrying preacher. But on several occasions I have been called upon to fill the pulpit on short notice because I was the only teacher in our congregation able to step in at the last minute. Having a substantial archive of material, from my forty years of writing and sixteen years of teaching God’s word, I was able to craft a message from some of my earlier ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship) lessons in relatively short order.
The three sermons below include both the video and audio-only versions.
Prophet, Priest and King: Christ in the Old Testament (12/3/2023)
Note: Because of a technical glitch, the video does not have sound for about the first minute (the audio version does have this sound). Here is the missing audio: “This is what I get for answering the phone on a Saturday night. <laughter> And for all of you who refuse to go to my class–this is your penalty. <laughter> No, teaching and learning from God’s word is a privilege and a blessing. So let’s get right to it. Turn in your Bibles, please, to Luke 24. Luke chapter 24. <pause> Late in the afternoon…”
