A Correction

Gentle Reader:

It has been brought to our attention--by a faithful friend and subscriber--that our scholarship was sub-par in this week's issue of The Journey. First, before we rectify the error, we wish to give thanks to our friend, and praise to our God for such attentive readers.

In the last section of this week's issue, in the third paragraph, you will read,

"In that tomb near Calvary, however, where the lifeless body of Jesus was shrouded and sealed away, for the first and only time true life returned where before there had been true death." (emphasis added to reveal error)

As our friend graciously pointed out, the Bible is replete with instances in which God raised others from the dead, for example,

Son Of The Widow Of Zarephath: 1Ki 17:22
Son Of The Shunammite: 2Ki 4:35
Dead Man Restored To Life At Touch Of Elisha's Bones: 2Ki 13:21
Jairus' Daughter: Mt 9:25, Mk 5:42
Saints At The Time Of The Crucifixion: Mt 27:52
Son Of The Widow Of Nain: Lu 7:15
Lazarus Of Bethany: Jn 11:44
Dorcas: Ac 9:40

This writer offers no excuses--except, perhaps, a momentary foretaste of premature senility. We apologize for the sloppy scholarship. Please forgive. The offending sentence should read (and already does in our online PDF at the Download Center):

"In that tomb near Calvary, however, where the lifeless body of Jesus was shrouded and sealed away, true life returned where before there had been true death."

Your brother in Christ,
Dave
