"Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth."
Don't you just love it. Whenever a portion of the world experiences dramatically unseasonable cold weather, and rational folk use it to taunt the global warmists among us, the warmists come back with, "Hey, dummy, there's a difference between weather and climate change." But then, when the weather unseasonably heats up (as it has this summer) those same warmists/alarmists will indeed use the weather to confirm their claims of manmade global warming.
The influence of manmade global warming on the climate system continues to grow, with human fingerprints identified in more than two dozen climate "indicators" examined by an international research team… The study found that manmade global warming made the devastating Texas drought and heat wave of 2011, which was the most expensive drought in the Lone Star State's history, at least 20 times more likely compared to years with similar large-scale weather patterns in the 1960s. The report also tied other recent extreme events worldwide to manmade warming.

So which are we to believe? Who is correct?
None of the above.

One day many years ago I was standing in our house when a minor earthquake approached. Mind you, the foundation of our house was a slab of concrete several inches thick, sitting on a bed of very heavy, dense clay in the middle of a vast mesa in Southern California. On any other day I could testify that our house was securely, firmly affixed to an arguably stable patch of terra firma. But when that temblor approached and passed beneath my feet, I may as well have been standing in a tiny dinghy in the middle of a rolling ocean. It felt like the solid ground beneath my feet had just turned to pudding.
The evangelists that preach the gospel of this temporal world will tell you that the only things you can really depend on are cold hard science and the reality of this home globe. But the "truth" espoused by man is a moving target, and this earth is not at all as stable and permanent as some may think.
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.
2 Peter 3:10

Where do you go for your truth? The New York Times? the internet? Fox News? CNN? your next-door neighbor?
If you are looking for stable ground, where do you stand? a granite mountain? a cathedral? the floor of the desert?
If we say we believe God, and trust in His Son, then there is only one true answer to both questions. When we need reliable truth that does not change by political whim or the seasons of man, there is only one place to find it.
The sum of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting.
And the Lord Jesus confirmed it.
"[My disciples] are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth."
Where do you go for truth? Where do you place your trust? On what are you willing to base your life?
For the disciple of Christ, truth is found in only one place: the written word of God. It has only one voice: the voice of God as penned by the Holy Spirit.
There is only one truth, and it is not of man, nor is it of this earth.
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away."
